Gulf, Mobile & Ohio covered hopper No. 81121 stands at Braintree, Massachusetts, 4 July 1984. Built by Pullman-Standard in August 1970, this three-bay rib-sided hopper carries faded GM&O lettering, typical of cars that continued in service long after the railroad’s absorption into the Illinois Central Gulf system. © Matt Herson
