A fall Durango & Silverton photographers special provides both sunny and moody, atmospheric weather, and a winter special has glorious sunshine with deep snow. K-28 2-8-2 #478 is the power for the specials, and K-36 2-8-2ís are in charge of the regular passenger trains. Don’t miss the action! Narration on/off and a marker for each train.

Guilford On the B&M A re-release of one of our very first programs, unavailable for several years. Re-edited, with some never-before-seen footage, Guilford on the B&M is perhaps a misnomer, as the program includes a chase north of Portland with GP35s. You’ll see Bluebird GP9s and GP40s, shabby ex-Santa Fe SD26s in grey and orange, high hood SD45s, MBTA F units and Bud cars, U28B’s and U33C’s. Lots of action at Lawrence, MA & East Deerfield. Taped mostly in 1988 and 1989 with very early equipment, the quality is not as good as from our latest high definition cameras. A blast from the past!
In Search Of ALCOs The products of Schenectady and Montreal are our favourite form of motive power, so we look them up whenever we can. We’ve seen RSIIs and an RS3 on the Winchester and Western, these guys were working hard, immaculate C420s (pretty) and an RS36 on the Apache, M630s on the CP (smoke), C424s, RS18s, M630s and an RS36 on the D&H (lots of smoke) M630’s on the Cartier, an RS3 on the Lamoille Valley, RS1’s on the Green Mountain, an ex P&W M420 on the Mass. Central, C424’s on ST, C420’s and M42OTR’s on the Roberval Saguenay, an S1 on the Maine Coast and ex FA “powerpacks” on the Long Island.
Mallets In the Mountains Italian-built 0-4-4-0 mallet tank engines at work in this scenic African country. From the Red Sea port of Massawa across the deserts and up through the mountains, over the bridges and through the tunnels to Arbaroba and the capital of Eritrea, Asmara. Along the way, we’ll see the people, camels and of course the kids. Freight trains, passenger trains and doubleheaders. Includes a cab ride.
