The former Maine Central Railroad depot at Concord, Vermont, seen in 2023 following conversion into a private residence. The building retains its characteristic low-profile station form, wide eaves and simple detailing typical of rural Mountain Division depots, now adapted for domestic use. Once a working stop on the line between St. Johnsbury and Whitefield, the structure survives as a tangible reminder of the railway’s presence in the Connecticut River valley. © Jack Witthaus
