Looking towards the wye at Quebec Junction, the line to St. Johnsbury, Vermont curving away to the left on 29 June 1933. Today, the wye remains, but only about 1000 feet of the like to Beecher Falls line as a tail track.

Boston & Maine EMD F7 No. 4266 and Maine Central EMD GP7 No. 573 on the 470 Railroad Club special pause at Quebec Junction, nearly a mile from the nearest road, on 23 October 2021. The small section shanty beside the wye once served Maine Central track crews and was long thought lost, but was recently rediscovered in private hands, restored, and returned to its original site by volunteers from the 470 Railroad Club. The surrounding wye, long overgrown, was also cleared for the occasion, bringing life back to this remote junction for the first time in decades. © Dave Blaze Rail Photography
Fairmont speeder TC-470, owned by the 470 Railroad Club and finished in Maine Central lettering, departs along the west leg of the wye from the stub of the former Beecher Falls Branch at Quebec Junction, Carroll, New Hampshire. The haze of two-cycle exhaust hangs in the air as it passes the recently restored section shanty, bringing a touch of life back to this remote Mountain Subdivision junction following the 470 Club’s rare mileage excursion earlier in the day. © Dave Blaze Rail Photography
