Midford aims to showcase both the everyday workhorse duties and the exceptional achievements of the Somerset & Dorset Railway from the 1950s until its closure. Representing the full spectrum of services—from hauling the renowned Pines Express to operating local passenger trains, freight, and heavy coal workings that were the lifeblood of the line.
