Maine Central GP38 no. 257 leads an eastbound freight through East St. Johnsbury, Vermont, in June 1980, with sister unit no. 263 trailing, as the train approaches the US Route 2 grade crossing, around four miles out of St. Johnsbury. This is the same train seen later at Concord, Fabyan’s Station, The Gateway, and Mount Carrigain Dwelling.
